Role Overview

As an IT Support Engineer I, you will use your technical expertise to provide high-quality support for computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software. You will troubleshoot straightforward technical problems, implement solutions, and escalate complex issues when necessary.

You will interact with management and staff, support multiple sites, and manage small-scale IT projects while ensuring uptime for critical infrastructure. This role requires occasional lifting, standing, and walking during shifts up to 12 hours, as well as traveling within your local or regional area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network engineering and troubleshooting, including DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI model, and TCP/IP.
  • PC repair, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Ensure infrastructure networking and computing systems remain operational during production hours.
  • Manage local technical projects, policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Identify root causes of operational issues and implement process improvements.
  • Support internal customers across multiple buildings and remote locations.
  • Lift up to 49 lbs, stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours, and travel locally/regionally as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of professional IT experience in multi-user, high-availability environments.
  • 2+ years of PC troubleshooting, repair, deployment, and liquidation.
  • 2+ years of networking experience (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP).
  • 1+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience.
  • Fluent in Cisco/networking and Linux and/or Microsoft systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (RedHat), Microsoft hardware, AWS.
  • Data center experience.
  • Strong project management skills: planning, prioritization, and time management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
