Job Summary

Snowflake is seeking a Platform Specialist to join the Innovation Showcase team. This role supports Sales Engineers (SEs) and Account Executives (AEs) by maintaining, upgrading, and automating critical demo environments. The Platform Specialist ensures that demo content is reliable, secure, and optimized, enabling seamless customer engagements and internal innovation.

This role combines technical maintenance, automation, and system support to ensure SEs have the resources needed for successful sales cycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade existing demos for high availability, performance, and relevance
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate demo deployment, testing, and updates
  • Utilize GitHub/GitLab workflows for version control, branching strategies, and collaborative development
  • Contribute to DataOps.Live pipelines for demo provisioning and synchronization with Snowflake environments
  • Ensure proper documentation for demo maintenance, automation scripts, and user guides
  • Enforce security and compliance standards for all demo environments
  • Test and maintain Snowflake Certified demo content to ensure quality and consistency
  • Support SE community submissions, ensuring alignment with demo guidelines and best practices
  • Provide technical support for SEs to resolve demo-related issues efficiently

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years in technical support, system maintenance, or demo content management
  • Strong Snowflake expertise: configuration, account management, and performance tuning
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Git-based workflows for shared demo assets
  • SQL expertise: complex queries, optimization, and performance tuning
  • Hands-on Python scripting experience for automation and system maintenance
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to create technical documentation

Preferred:

  • Experience with DataOps.Live or similar orchestration platforms
  • Background in data engineering, pipelines, transformations, and data lake architectures

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary Range: $140,000 – $201,200 (U.S. based roles)
