Role Overview

Snowflake is seeking an experienced Platform Specialist to join the Innovation Showcase Team within Sales Engineering. This role is critical in enabling Sales Engineers (SEs) and Account Executives (AEs) by maintaining, automating, and scaling high-quality demo environments and technical assets used in customer engagements.

You’ll combine deep Snowflake technical expertise with CI/CD automation, Git-based workflows, and modern data engineering practices to ensure demo reliability, security, and performance throughout the sales lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

As a Solution Innovation – Platform Specialist, you will:

  • Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot Snowflake demos to ensure high availability and performance
  • Design and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate demo deployment, testing, and updates
  • Manage repositories using GitHub and GitLab, applying best practices for branching, merging, and version control
  • Contribute to DataOps.Live (or similar orchestration platforms) for demo provisioning and synchronization
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and automation references
  • Enforce security, compliance, and Snowflake demo standards for certified content
  • Validate demo consistency, quality, and performance across environments
  • Support SE community contributions and ensure alignment with demo best practices
  • Provide hands-on technical support to Sales Engineers during customer engagements

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical support, platform maintenance, or demo content management
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake, including configuration, account management, and performance tuning
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar
  • Proficiency with Git-based development workflows
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex query development and optimization
  • Experience in data engineering, including pipelines, transformations, and data lake architectures
  • Python scripting experience for automation and system maintenance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong documentation abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with DataOps.Live or similar data orchestration platforms
  • Background supporting customer-facing technical or sales engineering teams

Compensation & Benefits (US-Based Roles)

  • Base Salary Range: $140,000 – $201,200
  • Eligible for bonus and equity compensation

Final compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location.
