Job Description

About the Role:
We are a [small/large] Indian family seeking a trustworthy, experienced, and culturally aware housemaid to assist with day-to-day household tasks. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Indian family customs, vegetarian or non-vegetarian cooking styles, and basic cleaning and child or elder care responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• General house cleaning: dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and bathroom sanitation
• Laundry and ironing of clothes
• Basic Indian cooking: preparing vegetarian and/or non-vegetarian meals, chapati/paratha making, cutting vegetables, etc.
• Dishwashing and kitchen maintenance
• Grocery and household shopping assistance (if required)
• Childcare: feeding, bathing, school preparation, and supervision (if applicable)
• Elder care: providing support to senior family members with basic routines (if applicable)
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of assigned areas

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in an Indian household or as a housemaid/domestic helper
• Familiarity with Indian languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Punjabi, or Gujarati
• Basic knowledge of hygiene, food safety, and personal care routines
• Honest, punctual, organized, and respectful of family privacy and customs
• Ability to follow instructions and routines with minimal supervision
