Position Overview:

As a Remote Income Tax Preparer/Accountant/CPA, you will play a crucial role in preparing tax returns, managing financial records, and offering advisory services to clients. You will leverage your tax preparation expertise, accounting skills, and CPA knowledge to ensure accurate and timely tax filings and financial management services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file individual and business income tax returns in compliance with current tax laws.
  • Review financial records and ensure they are accurate and up to date.
  • Provide tax advisory services to individuals and businesses.
  • Assist clients with tax planning to optimize their financial position.
  • Analyze financial statements and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients to address their financial needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest changes in tax laws and accounting standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client financial data.
  • Manage multiple clients’ tax and accounting needs efficiently in a remote environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or relevant professional certifications.
  • Proven experience as an Income Tax Preparer or Accountant.
  • Strong knowledge of tax preparation software (e.g., QuickBooks, TaxSlayer, ProSeries, or similar).
  • Familiarity with federal and state tax codes.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in providing tax advisory services is a plus.
