Graphic Designer, Development
Department/Unit: Development
Hours/FTE: 40/1.0 FTE
Expected Starting Salary Range: $65,000 to $75,000 annually

This newly established position will execute and oversee the creation of engaging graphics and assets across various media to advance the philanthropic goals of the health system. In this job you will work closely with fundraising professionals to execute highly personalized, branded print and digital communications to engage, inspire and motivate individuals and businesses to make charitable contributions to Cincinnati Children’s. In partnership with enterprise designers and art directors, you will ensure that visual elements meet brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:
· Support Fundraising: Understand donor motivations, the business of development and the interplay between narrative and design. Create personalized proposals, impact reports, pitch decks and other communications to advance the cultivation and stewardship of donors.
· Collaboration: Work closely with fundraising staff and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables.
· Technical Skills: Utilize software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint) to create, edit, and finalize artwork.
· Brand Consistency: Ensure all produced materials align with brand guidelines and visual standards.
· Concept development: Translate complex ideas into visually appealing and user-friendly designs. Present design concepts and ideas to stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine and perfect the final product.
· Print Production: Prepare files for various printing processes, including offset, digital, and large format. Communicate with printers to ensure accurate production.
· Digital Production: Adapt artwork for different digital platforms, including web, social media, and mobile applications.
· Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues related to file preparation, production specifications, or printing.
· Quality Control: Review proofs and final files for accuracy, consistency, and quality. Make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal output.
Qualifications:
Required Education/Experience:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field.
· Experience: 5-7 years of work experience in design/production or similar role. Portfolio of completed graphic designs and creative projects.
Preferred Experience
· Volunteer or work experience in a nonprofit setting.
· Interest in advancing the mission of Cincinnati Children’s through philanthropy.
