Generative AI Engineer (Agentic Systems)

About the job:
At famOS, we’re building an AI-first platform for structured family & genealogy data not a generic chatbot. We’re looking for a hands-on Gen AI engineer who enjoys designing agentic systems, understands where LLMs should not be used, and can prototype real workflows with cost and accuracy in mind.

Key responsibilities:

1. Designing agentic AI workflows (LangGraph/Google ADK/similar)

2. Separating data collection, memory, and retrieval

3. Hybrid reasoning using LLMs + Vector DB + Graph DB (Neo4j)

4. RAG pipelines with tight context & low token cost

5. Structured outputs (JSON schemas), deduplication, validation

6. Python-first prototypes (not production bloat)

Must-have skills:

1. Strong Python

2. Hands-on experience with LLMs & RAG

3. Familiarity with either of LangGraph/LangChain/Google ADK/CrewAI

4. Vector DB experience (Pinecone/FAISS/Weaviate)

5. Clear understanding of token cost, latency, and hallucination control

This role is NOT:

1. Prompt-only work

2. Model training

3. Frontend-heavy

4. ‘ChatGPT wrapper’ development
