Job Description:

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Java Developer to join our Army Installation Support Modules (ISM) Project. The ideal candidate will be able to research, design, develop, modify, document, test, debug and maintain functionalities for the Army Human Resources Systems (AHRS) software application. The ideal candidate needs to have an active Secret Clearance.

HOW THE SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (JAVA) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Researches, designs, develops, tests, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

Required Experience:

Overall 8+ years of experience with Java development in a working environment

Experience developing client and server side web applications using Java, J2EE, JavaScript, Java

Server Pages (JSP), Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB), HTML, XML, XHTML, CSS, JIRA, Crucible, etc.

Creating and editing PDFs with Adobe Experience Manager – Forms Designer and Adobe LiveCycle Designer

Experience correcting software deficiencies and developing new capabilities

Database experience with SQL, ideally PL/SQL

Great communication skills

Self-starter

Desired Skills

Versioning and revision control system, ideally Apache Subversion

HP Application Lifecycle Manager

Developing integration software specifically Oracle WebLogic

Clearance: Active Secret Clearance

The likely salary range for this position is $80,000 – $120,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
