🎯 Position Overview:
As the Gas Turbine Machining Specialist, you will be responsible for on-site machining services for gas turbines, compressors, and other high-performance equipment. This includes providing hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, machining, and maintaining key components to ensure that gas turbines meet performance and operational standards. This is a highly technical and dynamic role that requires travel to various locations globally to support our clients’ needs.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
- Perform precision machining, repairs, and maintenance on gas turbine components including casings, rotors, and blades
- Conduct troubleshooting, diagnostics, and inspections to ensure the proper functioning of turbine machinery
- Ensure that machining processes meet quality standards and adhere to safety protocols
- Utilize CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other precision equipment to fabricate and repair turbine components
- Work closely with engineers and technicians to identify issues and implement solutions on-site
- Provide technical guidance and training to clients’ on-site teams as needed
- Document and report work completed and provide feedback to improve operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance client satisfaction and ensure project deadlines are met
- Travel globally to client sites to deliver on-site support for turbine maintenance and repair services
✅ Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Technical certifications or a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in gas turbine machining, repair, or a similar role in power generation or industrial machinery
- Strong proficiency with CNC machinery, precision tooling, and machining equipment
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with high-performance turbine components and their assembly/disassembly
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals
- Strong understanding of turbine operations, maintenance, and safety protocols
- Willingness to travel globally for on-site work assignments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in diverse teams
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and meet deadlines
- Previous experience in a global service delivery role is a plus
