About the Role

We are a growing UK web development business, transitioning from a freelance operation into a full-service agency. We’re looking for a Mid-Level Full-Stack Web Developer to help clear our project backlog and eventually take ownership of client projects. You’ll work across WordPress and Laravel applications, developing both backend and frontend solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites
  • Build custom WordPress themes and plugins
  • Work on Laravel applications using modern architecture
  • Develop SPA interfaces with Inertia.js and Vue.js
  • Switch between WordPress and Laravel tasks as required
  • Troubleshoot bugs and implement new features
  • Collaborate directly with the founder on project delivery
  • Eventually take ownership of individual client projects

Required Skills & Experience

General:

  • 3–5 years of professional web development experience
  • Proven experience on client-facing projects
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and good English communication
  • Full-time availability (40 hours per week)

WordPress:

  • Custom theme and plugin development
  • Experience with page builders (UTheme Pro preferred)
  • Strong PHP and MySQL knowledge

Laravel & Frontend:

  • Experience with the Laravel framework
  • SPA development using Inertia.js (or similar)
  • Frontend development with Vue.js
