Job Type: Contract to Hire (W2 Only)
Pay Rate: $50 – $75 per hour (Based on Experience)

We are seeking talented Backend, Frontend, and Full Stack Developers to join a leading investment firm’s technology organization. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for developers passionate about building scalable applications, working with modern cloud technologies, and collaborating within Agile teams to deliver high-impact digital solutions.

Job Overview

As a Software Engineer, you will work closely with product owners, technical leads, designers, and engineering teams to enhance retirement system applications and deliver innovative customer experiences. You will design, develop, test, and deploy modern applications while solving complex business challenges in a fast-paced environment.

We are hiring junior, mid-level, and senior developers with strong AWS and Agile experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable applications using modern architecture and coding standards
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and technical solutions
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and automation tests
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified by QA or production support teams
  • Contribute to system design, architecture improvements, and innovation initiatives
  • Mentor junior team members and promote continuous learning
  • Deploy applications using cloud and DevOps practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt quickly

Technical Skills

Programming Languages

  • Python, Java, or JavaScript
  • Object-oriented programming and distributed systems experience

Frameworks & Technologies

  • React, Angular, Spring Boot, Node.js
  • MERN / MEAN / Full Stack architectures

Cloud & DevOps

  • AWS Core Services (CloudWatch, CodeDeploy)
  • CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket

Databases & APIs

  • Relational and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, MySQL)
  • REST APIs, JSON, SOAP, XML
  • Microservices and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)

Additional Skills

  • Kafka, Kinesis, SQS (Data streaming)
  • Automated testing tools (JUnit, Jasmine)
  • Security concepts (OAuth2, JWT, SSL, SAML, OpenID Connect)
  • SDLC monitoring and logging tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS development certifications or experience
  • Architecture and design thinking expertise
  • Financial services or insurance industry experience
