📦 About the Internship

Amazon is seeking customer-focused, motivated individuals to join our Operations network as Fulfillment Area Manager Interns in California for Summer 2026. This hands-on internship takes place in one of Amazon’s fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations, or other operations buildings.

As an Area Manager Intern, you’ll learn how to coach, mentor, and motivate a team of Amazon associates while leading a summer project designed to drive process improvements and operational excellence in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

This is a physical, on-the-floor role involving standing, walking, and hands-on collaboration with team members to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.

🌟 Key Responsibilities

• Learn to coach, manage, and develop a team of 50–100 Amazon Associates
• Lead a summer project focused on standard work, continuous improvement, or operational efficiency
• Work independently and thrive in an autonomous environment
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
• Work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed; most shifts follow a fixed 4-day work week with 3 days off
• Oversee truck deliveries, package handling and sorting, and operate pallet jacks or PIT equipment (where applicable)
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Climb and descend stairs when required
• Support site leadership in achieving operational goals while maintaining a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment

🎓 Basic Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with all requirements anticipated to be completed between December 2026 – August 2027

💼 Preferred Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering, or a related field
