💰 Compensation: $73,900 – $110,900 USD annually (varies by location)

🔹 About the Role

As a Fulfillment Area Maintenance Manager Intern, you will gain hands-on experience leading maintenance initiatives, engineering efficiency projects, and continuous improvement efforts in our nationwide fulfillment network.

During this 10-week summer internship, you will:

  • Work on-site in a Network Distribution Center (NACF, NASC, or Amazon Air Network)
  • Lead a team of maintenance and cross-functional associates
  • Drive process improvement projects with measurable, metric-based impact
  • Learn from experienced Area Maintenance Managers and contribute to engineering process optimization

Intern projects have historically included: operator-based preventative maintenance initiatives, equipment performance and efficiency analyses, and maintenance process mapping. Top-performing interns may receive an offer for full-time employment upon graduation.

🌟 Key Responsibilities

  • Support multi-site production with a focus on safety and operational excellence
  • Develop solutions to complex maintenance challenges and manage outside contractors
  • Lead multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and goals are met
  • Design, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance programs
  • Provide guidance on budgets, safety programs, and engineering processes
  • Mentor and motivate associates to achieve individual and team goals
  • Conduct project planning, cost analysis, and promote good housekeeping
  • Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 49 lbs, bending, stretching, climbing ladders/stairs, and walking long distances

🎓 Basic Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil)
  • Expected graduation between December 2026 – August 2027
