📌 Role Overview

  • Position: Frontend/Backend Developer (Part-Time)
  • Location: Remote (U.S. – Washington, DC Metro Area preferred)
  • Hours: Part-Time (960 hours over contract period)
  • Clearance: Must be eligible for U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
  • Category: Senior Software Engineer I (Mathematica GSA MAS Labor Categories)

This role involves building and maintaining a secure federal web portal, including both frontend UI and backend infrastructure, ensuring seamless functionality for users.

💻 Responsibilities

Frontend

  • Build and maintain responsive, accessible web portals (508 compliant).
  • Implement clean and intuitive UI/UX using modern frameworks.
  • Develop role-based access control (RBAC) for multi-user environments.
  • Participate in UI/UX and code reviews.

Backend

  • Design and maintain RESTful APIs and integration workflows.
  • Manage metadata ingestion pipelines, user authentication, and logic layers.
  • Implement database interactions and secure data transactions.
  • Maintain continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

🛠️ Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5 years of relevant software development experience (GSA guideline substitutions accepted).

Preferred Skills

  • Frontend: React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Backend: Node.js, Python, or Java.
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar RDBMS.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
  • Strong understanding of security, compliance (FedRAMP, 508), and performance optimization.
