This is a full-time remote role (not for freelancers or contractors), with occasional in-person meetups for those in the Southern New England area.

🔑 Role Overview

As a Front End Web Developer, you will:

  • Develop custom WordPress themes and maintain client websites
  • Write semantic HTML markup and CSS, leveraging SASS for scalable styles
  • Implement responsive design using frameworks like Bootstrap, Tailwind, Foundation, or Material UI
  • Contribute to projects using vanilla JavaScript, and optionally jQuery or modern frameworks like React
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and clients
  • Handle multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
  • Debug and optimize code for performance and usability
  • Continuously learn and adopt modern front-end practices

🛠 Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of semantic markup, CSS, and SASS
  • Experience creating custom WordPress themes
  • Familiarity with responsive design frameworks: Bootstrap, Foundation, Tailwind, Material UI
  • Solid understanding of vanilla JavaScript, with some exposure to jQuery
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to submit a portfolio showcasing contributions to projects

🌟 Great to Have

  • Experience with React or other modern JS frameworks
  • Familiarity with build tools: Yarn, Gulp, Webpack
  • Experience creating WordPress plugins
  • Proficiency in debugging and independent problem-solving
  • Knowledge of Git / version control (UI tools like SourceTree, GitHub Desktop, GitKraken are acceptable)

  • Familiarity with Jira or similar task management tools
  • Experience with GitHub Actions or other CI/CD tools
