Role Overview

We are seeking a senior, hands-on Shopify Developer with 10+ years of experience to independently build, scale, customize, and optimize Shopify stores. This is a strategic, business-oriented role, not just execution – we need someone who understands conversion, performance, and scalability, in addition to writing clean code.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end Shopify store development and customization from scratch
  • Advanced theme customization using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JS
  • Shopify Plus experience preferred (checkout customization, scripts, flows)
  • Integrate third-party apps, APIs, payment gateways, logistics, and CRM tools
  • Optimize store performance, page speed, Core Web Vitals, and mobile UX
  • Implement CRO-focused improvements (funnels, PDP, cart & checkout optimizations)
  • Troubleshoot bugs and production issues; deploy fixes efficiently
  • Collaborate with marketing, growth, and product teams
  • Ensure scalability, security, and best coding practices

Must-Have Skills

  • 10+ years overall experience with strong Shopify focus
  • Expertise in:
    • Shopify Liquid
    • Custom theme development
    • JavaScript / jQuery
    • HTML5 / CSS3
  • Experience with:
    • Shopify Apps & custom app development
    • API integrations (REST / GraphQL)
    • Payment gateways & shipping tools
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce metrics, UX, and business growth
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Big Plus / Preferred

  • Shopify Plus experience
  • Headless commerce (Shopify + React / Next.js)
  • Experience with D2C brands at scale
  • Understanding of SEO, analytics, and tracking (GA, GTM basics)
  • Prior experience managing high-traffic, high-order-volume stores
