Role Overview
Are you a creative and technically skilled web developer who loves building engaging, user-centric websites and applications? This freelance role allows you to work on a variety of projects—from e-commerce platforms to corporate websites—while leveraging both front-end and back-end skills.
As a Freelance Web Developer and Designer, you’ll collaborate with clients and project teams to craft seamless digital experiences that are visually appealing, responsive, and optimized for performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and project teams to understand project goals, user needs, and design specifications
- Develop responsive, visually appealing websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bootstrap, Angular, React, or Vue.js
- Design wireframes and user flows to optimize UX and navigation across devices
- Implement back-end functionalities using Django, Spring Framework, Ruby on Rails, ASP.NET, or PHP; integrate RESTful APIs and web services
- Manage databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server, SQLite; perform data visualization for reporting
- Set up and maintain development environments using Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, SVN, Ansible, Trello; manage CI/CD workflows
- Conduct unit testing and debugging; optimize websites for SEO and fast load times
- Apply system architecture principles and DevOps practices for cloud deployment on AWS or Azure
- Ensure responsive web design and UX best practices across all devices
Required Skills & Experience
- Front-end: HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), JavaScript (Angular/React), responsive web design
- Back-end: Django (Python), Spring (Java), Ruby on Rails (Ruby), ASP.NET (C#)
- Database management: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server, SQLite
- Version control: GitHub, SVN; CI/CD experience (Jenkins or similar)
- Containerization: Docker; understanding of system architecture & DevOps practices
- API development: RESTful, SOAP, or GraphQL
- Wireframing and UX design skills; familiarity with wireframing tools a plus
- SEO optimization and website performance tuning
- Agile methodologies: Jira, Trello
- Cloud platforms: AWS or Azure preferred; Linux environment experience advantageous
- Strong communication skills for remote client collaboration
