Role Overview

As a Freelance Squarespace & Wix Web Developer, you will work remotely on small business web projects, collaborating with designers, marketing specialists, and clients. You’ll develop, customize, and maintain websites that are responsive, visually appealing, and optimized for performance and SEO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and customize websites on Squarespace and Wix according to client requirements.
  • Collaborate with designers to implement brand-consistent layouts.
  • Ensure mobile responsiveness, performance optimization, and basic SEO compliance.
  • Integrate third-party apps, forms, e-commerce features, and custom functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues efficiently.
  • Maintain client websites with updates and minor enhancements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding progress and revisions.
  • Stay updated on platform features, templates, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Squarespace and Wix development.
  • Basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills for custom functionality.
  • Understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and SEO basics.
  • Experience with third-party integrations and e-commerce tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, design sense, and problem-solving skills.

Experienc
