Role Overview
As a Flight Technician, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot Flock Safety’s security products, including license-plate reading cameras, poles, solar panels, and related hardware. You will interact directly with customers, ensuring high-quality service and proper functionality of all equipment.
This is a physically active, field-based role requiring comfort with heights, tools, driving work vehicles, and outdoor work in varying conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Install poles, cameras, solar panels, and batteries according to specifications.
- Use ladders, bucket trucks, or lifts to work at heights up to 30’.
- Conduct site surveys, communicate installation options, and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain daily inventory and report installation progress via Flock field app.
- Operate company vehicles (Sprinter vans, work trucks) and occasionally tow equipment.
- Perform minor repairs to underground wiring or irrigation systems.
- Adhere to safety standards, complete installations efficiently, and maintain professionalism at all times.
- Collaborate with deployment teams, internal teams, and customers to coordinate projects.
Skills & Requirements
- Comfortable with physical fieldwork, including bending, digging, lifting up to 50–100 lbs, climbing, and driving company vehicles.
- Experience or willingness to learn: construction, security systems, low-voltage wiring, bucket truck operation, or handyman work.
- Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Basic computer skills (Google Suite, Salesforce, email) and aptitude to learn new tools/software.
- Positive, professional, and adaptable demeanor.
90-Day Plan
First 30 Days: Payroll & travel setup, OSHA 10 certification, in-field training

90 Days & Beyond: Complete assignments efficiently, excel in tools/metrics, and build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders
