Role Overview
The Expansion Transaction Manager will play a critical role in enabling data center growth across the APAC region by managing infrastructure procurement transactions, supporting long-term capacity planning, and overseeing complex commercial agreements. This role sits within the Data Center Supply Solutions team and works cross-functionally with business, finance, legal, engineering, and operations stakeholders to deliver new data center capacity efficiently and at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Data Center Expansion & Transactions
- Provide end-to-end support for data center expansion initiatives, from deal inception through execution and closure.
- Manage transaction workflows including stakeholder validation, vendor engagement, business case development, and contract execution.
- Support site selection strategy, financial modeling, and approval processes for new infrastructure locations.
Contract & Vendor Management
- Assist in developing and managing:
- Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
- Master Work Orders (MWOs)
- Service Orders and amendments
- Coordinate closely with legal teams to ensure timely contract execution.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and infrastructure partners.
Financial & Budget Management
- Manage infrastructure operating expenses and financial approvals.
- Coordinate with finance teams for budgeting, forecasting, and payment processes.
- Monitor cost, capacity, and contractual obligations within supply planning systems.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with:
- Operations
- Engineering
- Legal
- Finance
- Treasury
- Risk management teams
- Provide status reporting and executive-level updates on transaction progress.
- Represent the team in cross-organizational meetings and project reviews.
Process Improvement & Strategy
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
- Support supply planning analysis, strategy documentation, and infrastructure portfolio reviews.
- Promote a culture of speed, flexibility, and cost efficiency.
Travel
- Approximately 10% business travel.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Real Estate, or related field.
- Experience managing contracts and vendor relationships.
- 3+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sourcing.
- Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in data center, infrastructure, or technology industries.
- 5+ years of business development or partnership management experience.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills across internal and external stakeholders.
