🌍 Role Overview

AWS is looking for an Energy Projects Manager to support the expansion of its global data center infrastructure by leading large-scale electrical power projects with utilities and energy providers.

This role focuses on medium and high-voltage power infrastructure, ensuring reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable energy supply for AWS data centers across regions.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple utility, EPC, and engineering partners for power infrastructure delivery
• Lead medium-voltage and high-voltage electrical projects (substations, grid connections, etc.)
• Oversee capital budgets and project schedules
• Coordinate with internal engineering, real estate, and planning teams
• Develop cost-saving energy strategies and innovative infrastructure solutions
• Work with regulators and utilities to enable AWS energy programs
• Ensure energy capacity meets data center growth requirements

🎓 Basic Requirements

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or technical field
✅ 5+ years experience in utility or energy industry
✅ 2+ years managing MV/HV electrical infrastructure projects
✅ Experience working with utilities, contractors, and external stakeholders
✅ Project management and contract review experience

Preferred:
✔ Electrical Engineering degree
✔ Substation or ≥34.5kV infrastructure experience
✔ Energy storage, demand response, or sustainability projects
✔ Experience with public utility commissions
