💰 Salary Range: $86,400 – $149,700 per year (+ bonus, RSUs, full benefits)

🏢 Role Overview

The Data Center Chief Engineer (CE) is a senior technical leadership role responsible for ensuring 100% uptime and peak efficiency of electrical, mechanical, and safety systems inside AWS data centers.

You will act as the primary technical authority for facility operations and lead Engineering Operations teams to maintain world-class reliability standards.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) team
• Oversee electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, generators, chillers, cooling towers, CRAC units, power distribution)
• Manage vendors, subcontractors, and technicians onsite
• Perform capacity planning and infrastructure reporting
• Coordinate with IT leaders and business teams
• Respond to critical incidents and emergency escalations
• Support new facility design and build projects
• Maintain asset and inventory management processes

🎓 Basic Qualifications

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
✅ Experience in data center or critical facility environments
✅ Vendor management experience
✅ Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook)
