Job Description

Data Modeling & Design:Work closely with Data Modelers to develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with IBM UDMH standards.Extend and customize IBM UDMH models to meet Ascension’s specific business and analytical requirements.Develop and maintain source-to-target mapping and data lineage documentation.Data Analysis & Profiling:Perform comprehensive data profiling and validation across Epic, Cerner, Athena, and Oracle FDI systems.Analyze data granularity, quality, volume, and frequency to support data integration and transformation.Identify data inconsistencies and provide recommendations for quality improvement.Collaboration & Documentation:Partner with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and define subject-area data models.Ensure alignment with data modeling standards, governance principles, and naming conventions.Document metadata, maintain model repositories, and support governance and audit processes.Tools & Technologies:Proficiency in ER/Studio, ERwin, or PowerDesigner for data_modeling.Strong skills in SQL, Python, and Unix for data transformation, ETL_scripting, and profiling.Familiarity with Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark, and cloud ecosystems ( AWS, Azure) is preferred.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst in the Healthcare domain.Strong working knowledge of IBM UDMH and major EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Athena).Proven experience in data modeling, profiling, and metadata documentation.Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in healthcare data integration and data governance frameworks.Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure).Understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing concepts
