Job Description

About the Role:
We are seeking a data-driven and technically skilled Data Scientist to join our Robotic Storage Analytics & Data Science team. In this role, you will help shape the intelligence behind modern robotic fulfillment systems by developing models and analytical tools that drive operational efficiency, storage optimization, and robotic coordination. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of robotics, large-scale warehousing, and AI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large-scale telemetry, sensor, and operational data from robotic storage and automation systems
  • Build machine learning models and analytical tools to optimize storage strategies, item retrieval paths, and robotic efficiency
  • Partner with robotics engineers, software developers, and supply chain teams to define use cases and implement scalable data solutions
  • Design experiments and simulations to test new storage algorithms, bin allocations, and throughput improvements
  • Perform root cause analysis for system performance bottlenecks or anomalies in robotic behavior
  • Visualize and communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Continuously improve data infrastructure and model deployment processes in cloud-based or hybrid environments

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, or related field
  • 3–7 years of experience in data science, ideally within robotics, manufacturing, supply chain, or automation environments
  • Strong proficiency in Python (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib), SQL, and data modeling
  • Experience working with time-series data, streaming data, or sensor logs
  • Familiarity with optimization, queuing theory, or discrete event simulation is a plus
  • Solid understanding of warehouse operations, robotic control systems, or material flow principles
  • Ability to translate complex systems into analytical models that guide measurable improvements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, Spark)
  • Familiarity with robotics middleware (e.g., ROS), PLCs, or embedded systems data
  • Background in simulation, dynamic systems modeling, or reinforcement learning
  • Experience in dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, Plotly, Power BI) for KPI monitoring
  • Contributions to operations research, robotics, or supply chain publications or patents

What We Offer:

  • Work on cutting-edge robotics data systems that shape the future of automated logistics
  • Competitive salary, performance bonus, and stock options
  • Flexible remote and hybrid work opportunities
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits
  • Access to state-of-the-art technologies, global teams, and career growth
