Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets from mining operations, equipment sensors (IoT), and enterprise systems to uncover inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
- Develop and deploy Python-based tools, scripts, and models for process automation, predictive maintenance, and performance optimization
- Collaborate with operations teams to identify KPIs, design experiments, and validate model outputs
- Build dashboards and automated reporting solutions for continuous operational monitoring
- Apply machine learning or statistical techniques for time series forecasting, anomaly detection, and root cause analysis
- Clean, structure, and transform complex data from SCADA, MES, PLC, and ERP systems
- Document methodologies and support model integration into production environments
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Mining Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3–6 years of experience in data science, automation, or mining/industrial analytics
- Proficient in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, etc.) and SQL
- Hands-on experience with mining systems (e.g., MineStar, GEOVIA, or Pitram) or industrial automation tools
- Familiarity with time series analysis, optimization algorithms, and sensor data modeling
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and visualization tools (Power BI, Plotly, Dash, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerized deployment (Docker)
- Familiarity with edge computing, IoT protocols, or OPC-UA standards
- Understanding of lean mining principles and digital twin implementations
- Experience with open-pit or underground mining operations and fleet analytics
- Exposure to simulation and modeling tools (Arena, Simio, AnyLogic) is a plus
What We Offer:
- Competitive compensation with annual performance bonuses
- Work with cutting-edge analytics and automation in a high-impact industry
- Remote-friendly and field-based flexibility
- Access to industry certifications, trainings, and conferences
