Data Scientist / AI Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist / AI Engineer to work on cutting-edge machine learning and AI solutions. You will play a key role in independently delivering impactful data science projects, designing and building ML models, and collaborating with engineering teams to deploy them into production. Ideal candidates have strong Python coding skills, a background in data science, and exposure to modern AI tools such as LLMs and agentic AI systems.Key Responsibilities:Lead and execute data science projects to drive business impactDesign and build scalable machine learning/statistical models for various business use casesCollaborate with ML engineers to deploy models in both real-time and batch environmentsMonitor and evaluate model performance post-deploymentPartner with key stakeholders to align models with strategic business needsContribute to the research and integration of new AI/ML techniques, including LLMs and agentic systemsBecome a subject matter expert in predictive modeling and AI innovatio Must-Have Skills:Proficient in Python and SQLStrong understanding of machine learning principles and data science workflowsExperience with transformer architectures (e.g., SLM, LLM, VLM, Embedding Models)Hands-on experience with Postgres, Redis, and ElasticSearchDesired Skills:Experience in API development and containerization (Docker, Podman)Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools, especially:BigQueryCloud StorageCloudSQLVectorSearchPractical experience with Git, agile methodologies, and test-driven development (TDD)Exposure to building LLM-based applications such as:Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systemsChatbotsAgentic AI toolsEducation:MS/PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field
