Job Description

Be a Data Science Intern at Perpay and gain hands-on experience in modeling, data analysis, and machine learning within a mission-driven fintech startup.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:
• Leverage expansive data sets to research, identify, and build features to train models and drive real impact
• Apply knowledge of modeling, statistical methodologies, and exploratory data analysis
• Partner with business leaders to communicate solutions designed to drive company growth
• Think proactively and futuristically to identify opportunities for the long-term Data Science roadmap
• Develop skills to succeed in a fast-paced tech start-up environment
• Contribute to and experience Perpay’s unique culture

About You

What you’ll need:
• Currently enrolled in or will receive a Bachelor’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent technical discipline with expected graduation between winter 2026 – summer 2027
• Knowledge of machine learning and statistical research
• Experience using SQL for acquiring and transforming data
• Proficient in programming, analysis, and visualization using object-oriented programming languages (Python preferred)
• Bonus: Enrolled in a Master’s or advanced technical degree
• Bonus: Previous work experience in a technical field
• Bonus: Experience implementing machine learning solutions in production environments
• Bonus: Understanding of modern scalable data science platforms
