Job Description

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Data Management Engineer to join our data team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the systems, tools, and frameworks that ensure data across the organization is accurate, accessible, and well-governed.

You will collaborate with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to create robust data pipelines, enforce data quality standards, and support key initiatives related to master data, metadata, data lineage, and data security. Your work will be foundational to enabling trusted analytics and compliance across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows to support enterprise data needs
  • Develop and maintain metadata catalogs, data lineage documentation, and data dictionaries
  • Implement and monitor data quality frameworks, including validation, profiling, and anomaly detection
  • Collaborate with Data Governance and IT Security teams to enforce data privacy, retention, and compliance policies
  • Work with cross-functional teams to model and maintain master data systems and ensure data consistency across platforms
  • Troubleshoot data integrity issues and provide resolution through data cleansing or system enhancements
  • Support automation and optimization of data ingestion, transformation, and storage

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3–7 years of experience in data engineering, data management, or data governance roles
  • Proficient in SQL and Python, with experience using data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Talend, Informatica)
  • Experience with modern data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
  • Familiarity with metadata management, master data management (MDM), and data catalog tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Apache Atlas)
  • Understanding of data security, access control, and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices
  • Familiarity with business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
  • Exposure to data privacy tools and practices, such as encryption, tokenization, and anonymization
