Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer to join our Product Analytics team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in designing and building robust, scalable data pipelines and analytics infrastructure that power data-driven decision-making across product, design, marketing, and engineering.
You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and product managers to ensure clean, timely, and reliable data is available for experimentation, dashboarding, and insights — ultimately influencing product features, user experience, and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines that transform raw product and event data into trusted, analysis-ready datasets
- Own the development and optimization of data models in our data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
- Work with product and analytics teams to define and instrument key product metrics and event tracking standards
- Ensure data reliability, accuracy, and consistency through rigorous testing, monitoring, and documentation
- Support product experimentation infrastructure (A/B testing, cohort analysis, funnel metrics)
- Drive data quality initiatives and help improve data literacy across teams
- Collaborate on the development of reusable data assets, templates, and frameworks to accelerate insights
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles
- Proficient in SQL and Python, and experienced with modern data stack tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Looker/Tableau, Git)
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ELT/ETL design, and warehouse architecture
- Familiarity with product analytics concepts such as event instrumentation, user journeys, retention, and conversion metrics
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and with large datasets
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting product or growth teams with reliable self-service analytics and dashboards
- Familiarity with experimentation platforms (e.g., Amplitude, Optimizely, internal A/B frameworks)
- Knowledge of reverse ETL tools (e.g., Hightouch, Census) or customer data platforms
- Passion for user experience and product strategy informed by data
What We Offer:
- A key role in shaping the analytics foundation of a fast-paced product organization
- Competitive compensation, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package
- Flexible work arrangements and a collaborative, data-driven culture
- Tools, mentorship, and resources to support professional growth and learning
- A direct line of sight into product decisions and company impact
