Role Summary

As a Data Centre Lead, you will be responsible for managing the physical infrastructure and operational environment of a data center. This includes overseeing floor space utilization, cooling systems, power installations, and vendor coordination while ensuring uninterrupted 24×7 operations.

You will also lead the operations team, make key technical and operational decisions, and collaborate across multiple departments to maintain high availability and reliability of services.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Operations Management

• Manage physical components such as:
  • Floor space and rack layouts
  • Air conditioning and cooling systems
  • Power distribution and installations
• Ensure smooth functioning of 24/7 services including:
  • Batch processing
  • System monitoring
  • Event management

Leadership & Decision Making

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in data center operations.
• Lead and supervise data center operators and support teams.
• Take ownership of team decisions and operational strategies.
• Provide solutions to complex cross-team technical issues.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with vendors and service providers.
• Manage contracts, negotiations, and service delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams on infrastructure planning and improvements.

Performance & Reliability

• Develop strategies to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs to ensure performance targets are met.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning initiatives.
