Role Overview

A leading engineering firm is hiring a Project Planning & Commissioning Engineer to support mission-critical data center infrastructure projects. This role focuses on coordinating project planning, tracking progress, and supporting commissioning activities to ensure systems are delivered on time and meet performance requirements.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and travel to project sites when required, making this position ideal for engineers who enjoy both technical and project-management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

  • Support project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Track progress and performance metrics using Excel and Power BI.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Assist in risk identification and mitigation planning.

Commissioning Support

  • Participate in commissioning activities for data center systems.
  • Validate system performance and readiness.
  • Document testing procedures and results.
  • Support issue resolution during project execution.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
  • Provide status reports and dashboards to leadership.
  • Maintain documentation and project records.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in:
    • Data centers
    • Engineering projects
    • Commissioning
    • Construction or infrastructure environments
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
