Position Overview

EEI is hiring Commissioning Agents (CxA) across entry-level, mid-level, and senior experience bands. The role involves commissioning both electrical and mechanical systems in data center environments to ensure peak performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform commissioning of electrical and mechanical data center systems.
  • Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and functional test checklists.
  • Conduct site inspections, system verification, and performance testing.
  • Review construction documents, equipment submittals, and design specifications.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and facility operators.
  • Identify and resolve reliability, safety, and performance issues.
  • Prepare detailed commissioning documentation and reports.
  • Train data center personnel on operations and maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise.

Qualifications

  • Experience in commissioning, design, or construction of electrical/mechanical systems (data center or mission-critical preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • HVAC systems
    • Electrical distribution and power generation
    • UPS and backup systems
    • Controls and automation systems
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with commissioning tools/software.
  • Certifications such as CCP, CBCP, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites.

Experience Levels

  • Entry Level: 0–2 years experience in commissioning or related field.
  • Mid Level: 3–7 years experience with project coordination and system knowledge.
  • Senior Level: 8+ years experience with leadership and complex mission-critical systems expertise.
