🔹 About the Role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring Data Center Infrastructure Engineer Interns to join our cross-disciplinary teams and gain hands-on experience supporting full life-cycle operations of AWS Data Centers. You’ll engage in design, implementation, and maintenance projects, becoming a key resource for regional engineering and operations teams.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to interact with global teams, develop innovative solutions, and contribute to AWS’s mission of delivering reliable, scalable, and cutting-edge cloud infrastructure.
🌟 Key Responsibilities
- Review designs and equipment submittals for new AWS Data Centers in your region.
- Troubleshoot site and equipment issues, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and document Corrective Actions (CA).
- Support operational issues, including training, procedure reviews, and critical equipment management.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams, server hardware teams, and EHS teams to maintain high standards of safety and operational reliability.
- Develop innovative infrastructure solutions to improve AWS Data Center performance.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across local and global sites.
💼 Basic Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent discipline
- Knowledge of Power Systems, Fluid Dynamics, or Thermodynamics
- Able to work 40 hours/week for the 12-week internship
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be enrolled in a U.S.-based academic program with expected graduation between December 2026 – September 2027
🔹 Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and industrial or commercial power systems
- Experience with web-based or software tools for calculations and data analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interest in innovating and optimizing data center infrastructure
