Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking skilled engineers to join its Data Center Engineering Operations team and help maintain the world-class infrastructure that powers the cloud.

🚀 Role Overview

As a Data Center Facility Engineer, you will be a hands-on technical expert responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting critical electrical and mechanical systems inside AWS data centers. Your work directly ensures high availability and reliability for millions of customers worldwide.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot UPS, generators, switchgear, HVAC, chillers, transformers, and fire/life safety systems
• Perform routine inspections, readings, and operational rounds
• Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and drive improvements
• Oversee contractors performing maintenance and service activities
• Implement and maintain strict safety standards and initiatives
• Support 24/7 operations with rotational shifts and on-call responsibilities

🎓 Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field
• Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, controls)
• Understanding of electrical theory and infrastructure systems

Preferred:
• Experience working in data center environments or critical facilities
