Amazon Web Services (AWS), part of Amazon, is hiring Data Center Engineering Operations Technicians (EOT) to support mission-critical infrastructure across its Northern Virginia data center region.

🔧 Role Overview

You will maintain and operate critical electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and life-safety systems that power AWS data centers, ensuring 24/7 uptime and reliability.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily building rounds and monitor infrastructure systems
• Monitor BMS (Building Management Systems) and EPMS (Electrical Power Management Systems)
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level issues within SLA targets
• Install and decommission racks
• Conduct preventive maintenance and root cause analysis
• Support contractors and vendors onsite
• Execute technical documentation and change management processes

⏰ Work Schedule Options

Option 1 – Weekend Rotation:
Sunday–Tuesday + every other Saturday (3–4 day rotating week)

Option 2 – Weekday Rotation:
Wednesday–Friday + every other Saturday (3–4 day rotating week)

Shift timings:
• Day: 5:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Night: 5:30 PM – 6:00 AM (+13% night differential)

Overtime paid at 1.5× after 40 hours (up to 60 hrs/week).

🛠 Requirements

Basic Qualifications
• 2+ years experience in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or fire suppression systems
• Ability to work long shifts and perform physical tasks
• Comfortable working at heights, ladders, and industrial environments

Preferred
• Data center engineering experience
• Knowledge of low-voltage copper/fiber cabling and network layouts
