Job Description
🧠 Core Purpose
This role focuses on maintaining and operating critical infrastructure systems inside AWS data centers — especially electrical, mechanical, and facility equipment that keeps servers running 24/7.
Think of it as a facility + engineering + operations hybrid role, not purely IT.
🏗️ Main Responsibilities
1. Facility & Equipment Monitoring
- Perform daily rounds checking:
- Electrical systems (UPS, switchgear, generators)
- Cooling systems (CRAH units, chillers, cooling towers)
- Fire/life safety systems
- Monitor systems using:
- BMS (Building Management System)
- EPMS (Electrical Power Management System)
2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Preventive maintenance (PM)
- Root cause analysis and repairs
- Troubleshooting power or cooling failures
- Supporting rack installs/decommissions
3. Operations & Projects
- Manage work orders and maintenance tickets
- Support contractors and vendors on-site
- Write technical documentation and change records
- Execute small engineering projects
4. Physical Work
- Working at heights, ladders, uneven surfaces
- Handling cables, equipment, tools
- 12-hour rotating shifts possible

🎓 Basic Requirements
Minimum:
- 2+ years electrical or mechanical experience
- Microsoft Office familiarity
- Flexible schedule availability
Preferred:
- 4+ years data center experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Knowledge of networking & cabling
💰 Salary Range (USA Locations)
- $37 — $65 per hour
