Role Overview
As an Engineering Operations Technician, you will maintain and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems that power AWS data centers. You’ll work on advanced infrastructure including generators, UPS systems, cooling equipment, and building management systems to ensure 24/7 uptime.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform daily facility rounds and monitor critical infrastructure systems
• Monitor BMS (Building Management Systems) & EPMS (Electrical Power Management Systems)
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment issues within SLA timelines
• Support rack installations and decommissioning activities
• Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) and root cause analysis
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project teams
• Maintain technical documentation and change management records

Equipment You’ll Work With
• Standby diesel generators and fuel systems
• 3-phase electrical systems (switchgear, UPS, PDUs, batteries)
• Cooling systems (CRAH units, chillers, cooling towers, pumps)
• Fire/life safety systems and automation equipment

Basic Qualifications
• 2+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Ability to work flexible shifts (days/nights/weekends)
• Comfortable with physical tasks, heights, and industrial environments

Preferred Qualifications
• 4+ years data center or engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (or related)
• Knowledge of network layout and low-voltage cabling
• Strong physical stamina for hands-on work
