About the Role
The Data Center Engineer (Storage) position focuses on designing, engineering, and maintaining enterprise storage infrastructure supporting mission-critical national security environments. This role directly contributes to secure defense systems and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
You will work on storage architecture, hardware refresh programs, infrastructure automation, and long-term data retention strategies across data centers and remote sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Design storage engineering solutions for data center and remote site hardware refreshes.
- Recommend hardware compatible with existing storage technologies and environments.
- Document physical infrastructure designs including:
- Rack layouts, interconnections, power, and networking
- Asset lifecycle and service data
- Configure and document storage system settings and standards.
- Engineer long-term storage solutions aligned with records management requirements.
- Deliver Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) service catalog items for automated storage provisioning.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active Top Secret with SCI clearance (required).
- Experience in storage engineering and integration across physical and virtual environments.
- Current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional-level storage certifications.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
