Progressive Technology is hiring entry-level Data Analysts who are passionate about transforming raw data into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and prepare datasets from multiple sources (CSV, databases, APIs) for analysis
  • Build dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio to track KPIs and trends
  • Write basic to intermediate SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) using Excel and Python/R to identify patterns and anomalies
  • Create clear visualizations and executive-ready presentations that tell a compelling data story
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into analytical problems
  • Document data definitions, business logic, and analytical methodologies
  • Support A/B tests, cohort analysis, and funnel analysis under guidance from senior analysts
  • Adhere to data governance, privacy, and security best practices
  • Continuously learn new tools, libraries, and analytical techniques

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Commerce, or related fields
  • Strong foundation in Excel/Google Sheets (lookups, pivots, charts, formulas)
  • Working knowledge of SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY; window functions preferred)
  • Familiarity with Python (pandas, NumPy) or R for data analysis
  • Understanding of basic statistical concepts (mean, median, correlation, hypothesis testing)
  • Basic exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent data visualization tools
  • Strong communication skills to present insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and discipline in data accuracy and documentation

Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in analytics, BI, or related internships/projects
  • Final-year students or recent graduates with strong academic/project portfolios are encouraged to apply
  • Portfolio/GitHub/Kaggle projects, hackathons, or certifications (Google Data Analytics, Microsoft Power BI) are a plus

Working Hours & Model

  • Standard business hours: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM IST, Monday to Friday
  • Hybrid model: Typically 2–3 days in-office per week (team/city dependent)
  • Flexibility to support critical deliverables or stakeholder meetings

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)

Knowledge

  • Relational databases, data warehousing, ETL/ELT concepts
  • Introductory statistical modeling (regression, clustering) is a plus
  • Understanding of business metrics: CAC, LTV, churn, conversion rates (nice to have)

Skills

  • Data wrangling, visualization, and storytelling
  • Translating ambiguous business questions into structured analysis
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) is advantageous
