Job Description

Data Analyst Internship at ConnectPrep: Collaborate with educators to validate analytics models, support AI and data projects, and help shape innovative educational solutions.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:
• Develop understanding of algorithms, technologies, platforms, and proprietary educational content
• Synthesize knowledge into actionable tests to build modules identifying individual student academic needs
• Work with AI tools and workflows to support data-driven decision-making
• Perform data mining and cleaning from multiple sources including web, internal trackers, and marketing platforms
• Support AI and chatbot development projects for ConnectPrep’s programs and website
• Conduct SEO and keyword research to identify growth opportunities and track performance
• Assist with data analysis for marketing campaigns, content performance, and business operations
• Help test, document, and iterate on new data and AI workflows as they are developed

About You

The company is looking for:
• Enjoyment of creative problem solving and working with messy, real-world data
• Strong math/quantitative skills and excellent attention to detail
• Curiosity about how data can improve learning and student outcomes
• Current or past study in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• Some coding experience and strong interest in technology and AI
• Experience with at least one of the following: SQL, Python data tools (Pandas, NumPy, or similar), building simple data pipelines or analysis scripts in Python
• Proficiency in Excel including advanced formulas, tables, conditional formatting, advanced charting, pivot tables, data tables, simulations, and Solver; VBA and macros are a bonus
• Experience visualizing data in Tableau, Power BI, or Data Studio is advantageous
• Experience working with SEO tools or keyword platforms is beneficial
• Experience collaborating in remote or hybrid teams using Slack, Zoom, and project management boards is a plus
• Must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, or authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
