Content Manager and Editor- Volunteer Role

EmpowHERto is hiring a Volunteer Content Manager and Editor to join the company’s dynamic Communications department. The individual will be responsible for managing and editing a variety of content that aligns with EmpowHERto’ s brand and marketing strategy. This role involves overseeing the content team, creating content calendars and publishing schedules. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, editorial, and project management skills to guide content creation across various media platforms.

Key responsibilities;
• Lead the creation of various types of content (blogs, social media posts, press releases, articles, newsletters, etc.)
• Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Plan, manage, and oversee the content calendar to ensure timely production and publication.
• Develop and execute content strategies that align with marketing objectives and brand identity.
• Conduct audience research to understand content needs and tailor material accordingly.
• Collaborate with writers, designers, and program managers to produce visually appealing and engaging content.
• Ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all content.
• Track content performance through analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor content to keep the company’s content fresh and relevant.
• Maintain and uphold a consistent voice and style across all platforms, and ensure all content aligns with legal guidelines, intellectual property rights, and copyright regulations.

Job Type: Part-time
