👩‍⚖️ Role Summary

This is an in-house commercial real estate lawyer role focused specifically on data center projects.

You would support:

  • Land acquisition
  • Data center development deals
  • Leasing and operations contracts
  • Infrastructure partnerships
  • Real estate aspects of M&A and joint ventures

You’ll work with internal teams (development, operations) and outside law firms.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

Real Estate Transactions

  • Draft and negotiate:
    • Acquisition and sale agreements
    • Commercial leases
    • Easements
    • Development agreements
    • Vendor contracts
    • Letters of intent (LOIs)
    • NDAs

Due Diligence

  • Review:
    • Title and surveys
    • Zoning and land use
    • Environmental reports
    • Regulatory compliance

Project Support

  • Assist with:
    • Joint ventures
    • M&A transactions involving infrastructure
    • Closing documentation
    • Real estate compliance

Internal Advisory

  • Provide legal guidance to:
    • Development teams
    • Operations teams
    • Senior attorneys
    • Executives

🎓 Requirements

Minimum:

  • Juris Doctor (JD)
  • Licensed U.S. attorney (any state bar)
  • 2–3 years experience in:
    • Commercial real estate law
    • Leasing
    • Development transactions

Strong preference:

  • “Big Law” firm background
  • Experience with large infrastructure projects
  • Data center or energy sector exposure

💰 Compensation (Typical Market Estimate)

For Dallas and similar roles:

  • Base Salary: $140k – $180k
  • Bonus: Performance-based
  • Equity: Possible in crypto-focused firms
  • Total Compensation: ~$160k – $220k+
