Locations: Bristol, Fort Wayne, Franklin, Indianapolis, Jeffersonville, South Bend, Whitestown, IN
Salary: $65,200 – $75,000 USD annually

About the Role

This is a full-time, entry-level operations position located in one of Amazon’s fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations, or other operational facilities. As an Area Manager, you will lead a team of hourly employees and be directly responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and operational excellence on the production floor.

You will engage, mentor, and develop your team, providing the tools and guidance they need to succeed while meeting organizational goals. Amazon provides extensive training to help you become a highly effective people leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate 50–100 Amazon Associates in daily operations.
  • Operate independently and adapt to an autonomous, fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and attendance standards.
  • Oversee truck deliveries, package handling, and operation of PIT equipment (where applicable).
  • Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours; climb stairs and lift up to 49 lbs.
  • Work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, following a typical 4-day work week with 3 days off.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed between May 2024 and August 2026. (All degree requirements must be met prior to your start date.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering, or a related field.
