About the Role

As a Content Strategist, you will develop and implement content strategies for clients on the Amazon platform while leading and mentoring a design team. You’ll ensure the creative output is functional, visually appealing, and sales-driven, aligning with client goals and Amazon best practices.

This role is both hands-on and managerial, overseeing in-house and freelance designers, training new team members, and guiding the creative process to optimize efficiency and performance.

You will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Amazon content policies, overseeing content creation workflows, and fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design and creative direction for client brands, ensuring consistency and compliance with Amazon best practices.
  • Conduct thorough research on clients and competitors to craft tailored content strategies.
  • Participate in Welcome Calls, Content Strategy Calls, and client feedback sessions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for content escalations and creative feedback.
  • Guide and mentor the design team, providing feedback and creative solutions.
  • Oversee daily content tasks: catalog updates, image replacements, ASIN checks, and listing adjustments.
  • Collaborate with SEO and Editorial teams to align listing copy, restricted terms, and quarterly updates.
  • Conduct Content Audits, Moodboards, and performance reporting for clients.
  • Train and onboard new designers and freelancers, maintaining high creative standards.
  • Lead design training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Support project and account managers to ensure timely task delivery and meet team KPIs.
  • Collaborate on internal performance processes including evaluations and improvement plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Design.
  • 5+ years of experience in design, including Amazon-specific content creation (3+ years).
  • 2+ years of experience managing creative teams.
  • Strong design portfolio showcasing creative and sales-oriented work.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of visual aesthetics and brand alignment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
