About the Role:
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, help with budgeting and forecasting, and support senior management with timely financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, experience with financial software, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of accounts, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing financial analysis and reports to support decision-making.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the processing of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Audit Preparation: Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.
  • Cost Control: Monitor expenditures and recommend cost-saving measures to improve financial performance.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide insights into financial performance, identifying trends and offering recommendations for improvement.
  • Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies, identifying any areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations and management, to support business objectives and provide financial insights.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with tax compliance and reporting requirements at the state and federal levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
