Amazon University Talent Acquisition is seeking MS or PhD students for the 2026 Applied Scientist Internship. This internship is ideal for candidates interested in machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, large language models, speech technology, robotics, computer vision, optimization, operations research, quantum computing, automated reasoning, or formal methods.

As an Applied Science Intern, you will design, develop, and deploy end-to-end systems, working closely with Amazon scientists to solve never-before-solved problems that impact millions of customers worldwide.

This is a hands-on, research-focused internship that offers exposure to cutting-edge technology and Amazon’s customer-focused culture.

🌟 Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop end-to-end systems to support Amazon Science initiatives
  • Write technical white papers, create roadmaps, and drive production-level projects
  • Develop new algorithms, models, or technical solutions

  • Deploy and evaluate solutions in a production environment

🎓 Basic Qualifications

  • Publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
  • Experience in designing experiments and statistical analysis of results
  • Experience implementing algorithms using toolkits and self-developed code
